Inventory services can be instructed by a tenant as well as a landlord to protect against damages!

When the deposit scheme was introduced in 2007 it was focused on the landlord protecting their property against damage from the tenant. However, in many cases tenants want protection of their own from landlords and that is how a tenancy inventory can help you. Tenants do not want to be blamed for damage not caused by themselves. There has therefore been a big rise in the number of jobs carried out by us for tenants - especially at the check out time, with tenants looking for a secure way to protect themselves and allow them to part with a property in a hassle-free way.

There are a number of ways a tenancy inventory can offer you assurance:

  • A full property report and schedule of condition – records the contents and condition of a property.

  • Inspection of a property in the form of a check in inventory. We will check for changes between the signed inventory and the property at the end of your tenancy to ensure you can't be blamed for any damages that were not carried out by yourself or any other tenant.

  • Inventory at check out – we will visit your property before your check out is due and go through it to ensure it is ready for your check out. Remember, you will not have time to make any changes when it is time for check out and subsequently may be charged for work you could have carried out before hand as well as causing hassle and delays in your moving process.

A tenancy inventory allows tenants to protect themselves at any time during their stay in a property whether you have just moved in or looking to move out, meaning if you feel that you would like to be more protected from your landlord because of past experiences or purely for peace of mind Through the Keyhole Inventory Services can help..
